Kinesiology Taping Books |
The Kinesiology taping or shorter kinesiotaping method, which is also called medical taping or physio taping or athlectic taping, is used to treat painful diseases especially of the muscle, the tendon or skeletal disorders. The "treatment" is performed by applying approximately 5cm wide elastic cotton tapes directly onto the skin where the tape remains from a few days up to two weeks. The tapes are produced in many colours which can be used according to the colour theory of kinesiology.

The word kinesiotaping is derived from the ancient Greek language: kinesis (kinesio) - movement and logos (logy) - teaching. The English words tape and taping mean wrap with tape.
